ST. CROIX- Being Outreach Director on the St. Croix Campus for The UVI Voice paper was a great experience! My role was to represent the UVI Voice and advertise it to students and the public.

Along with Shari Alfred (Outreach Director on the St. Thomas campus), we collaborated and found ways to advertise through flyers, word of mouth, and UVI Voice’s Facebook and Twitter.  I also promoted UVI Voice’s website (uvivoice.net) by sharing student articles from the website on Facebook.

The Outreach Director’s role is very important and I gained lots of experience and knowledge in reference to journalism.
